Overview
Tarangire is celebrated for its massive herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees dotting the landscape. The park comes alive during the dry season when animals congregate around the Tarangire River, offering spectacular wildlife viewing. It is also home to diverse birdlife, with over 500 species recorded. Lions, leopards, and cheetahs patrol the plains, while giraffes and antelopes roam in large numbers. Tarangire provides a quieter, less crowded alternative to Serengeti.
